Meet Juan Yagual Perez: Lions Services’ Sighted Employee of the Year

At Lions Services, we celebrate the dedication and hard work of our employees, and this year, we are proud to recognize Juan Yagual Perez as our Sighted Employee of the Year for 2025.

A Story of Growth and Dedication

Juan has been a valued part of the Lions Services team for five years, working in the Molle Hydration Department as a machine operator, packer, and all-around multitasker. Whether moving work throughout the department or taking on multiple tasks at once, Juan’s energy and commitment are truly unmatched.

Lions Services holds a special place in Juan’s heart, as it was his first and favorite job after moving to the United States from Ecuador. When he first arrived, he did not speak English, but he was determined to learn. Through small conversations with his low vision coworkers, he not only picked up the language but also built deep and meaningful relationships.

“I am grateful to the low vision community at LSI as they have helped me learn English better, and I have helped teach Spanish to my blind coworkers. I have also helped teach the English that I have learned to my Spanish coworkers who are learning the languge.”

Family, Music, and Making a Difference

Outside of work, Juan enjoys spending time with his family and listening to music. His love for connection and culture shines through in everything he does, both on and off the job.

Juan approaches his work with heart and purpose:
