A Brief History
Constructed in 1970, the property of 4600 North Tryon Street in Charlotte once served as a Lowes retail store before it was purchased by Lions Services. The building served a vast population of professionals, customers, and guests in the charlotte area, and now serves as an employment landmark for people who are blind. Presently known as the Bob Elliot Center for the Blind, Lions Services repurposed the building to employ veterans who are blind as well as individuals living with vision loss.
Lions Services purchased this beautiful property in 1995, beginning renovations and moving in one year after.
